The Party leadership has allowed the Elections Committee in conjunction with its Mobilization and Strategy counterpart to immediately embark on a nationwide elections and recruitment exercise. Accordingly, therefore, all organs of the Party will face elections from the Branch right up to the National Management Committee.
UPND SUPPORTS THE STANCE TAKEN BY LAZ
On behalf of the United Party for National Development (UPND), I would like to express our support to the stance taken by the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) to resolve through litigation long standing issues to do with:-
(i) The Public Order Act;
(ii) Statutory Instrument No. 33
(iii) The Right of Citizens to have a lawyer present at whatever stage of investigation.
